Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.

  • interesting architecture, make sure you walk on the top of the building to get the full impact of the place, as well as viewing the art inside - and the terrace outside for a drink to take in the view...  more »
  • Although the location is very special indeed, the evening food on offer was dreadful. Returned chicken twice, and walked out after pointing out the dangers of raw chicken.  more »
  • Art is very subjective and this is a museum that, for me, does nothing. Watching a video of a man who looks like Uncle Festa dragging an illuminated candelabra round his g8arden at night baffles me. L...  more »

  • Art exhibitions in the centre of Palma de Mallorca. The space is part of the old city wall near the Santa Catalina side of the Old Town. A terraced area with a bar overlooking the port is very pleasant. Occasionally film screenings, dance classes, concerts etc use the outside terrace. Changing exhibitions inside bring the best talent from the art world to Palma so it's always good to keep an eye on their updates.
  • If you go the bar call the waiter, otherwise you might no be served.....but the service is friendly, great views and atmosphere, and great cocktails.
  • Great location And Very Nice People. 4stars because i think cocktails aren t good as The place
  • This is a phenomenal place. The mix of modern architecture integrated into the landscape, palms and one of the best views within this city makes this a 100% recommandation. The Museum itself offers not that many pieces of art but u will have a great view from the top and mostly its not very crowded either. Student entrance was 4,5€
  • Fantastic situation overlooking the bay of Palma, modern art, great food, eine and cocktails! Perfect 💋💋
