Where to stay in Palma de Mallorca

To experience the heart of Palma, opt to stay in the the inner ring of La Avinguadas street, where lies the historical city center. The mostly traffic-free district is filled with beautiful island architecture housing boutique hotels, historical restaurants, and lovely plazas, and is only a short walk from the city beach and port. The Santa Catalina neighborhood is another popular option for accommodation as it is well known for its restaurants, daily market, and close proximity to the city's main sites. Just east of the city center is Portixol, a beachside neighborhood that still retains its charm of an old fishing village. For a small town beach atmosphere, stay along Platja de Palma, the beach stretching east of the city center.

  • With a mix of shopping and dining options, Porto Pi is a useful asset to Palma. There is on site parking, which, for our short stay (about an hour), was free. Stores tend to be relatively mainstream.  more »
  • We went here on a rainy day to stay indoors, after looking online and seeing the advert for 6 floors we thought lets give it a go and will be a few hours out the rain. We arrived and looked round a lo...  more »
  • This shopping mall was near the hotel. Bus number 3 takes straight there. Good selection of shops (normal chains). Has a large supermarket in the basement.  more »

  • Car park is a bit tight careful with the hire car! Good place to go on a rainy day nice food places and lots of shops
  • Good shopping centre, not massive but there's quite a lot of variety. The cafeteria beside the cinema has a large soft play area for leaving kids to play whilst you shop. Parking is free for the first two hours. There's a massive supermarket inside too, all very convenient. Mostly indoors but has a few outside shops and eateries too.
  • Great variety of stores, and restaurants. Easy to find and get to. A very big supermarket with okay prices and products, very clean and fresh merchandise.
  • Zara, H&M, Carrefour, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and even a Casino!! Not very big but plenty to enjoy. Easy to park.
  • Simply the best supermarket I've ever seen... One stop shop...
