No doubt the figure of Rosalía de Castro, his work, they are emblematic of their time and their personal circumstances. Anything detracting from out there. More seems to they have only been interest in attempting to attract visitors but fails from the start. We approach and the first lock is in that is badly signposted, do not indicate if the road to take is the railway last (cross), the same poster is not clear, you arrive by intuition and common sense. The House itself may have some interest as the memory of the lives of others times but certainly not as home to Rosalía de Castro, who lived in lent and only there lived the last three years of his life. Other sticks... instrumentalization... put all the posters in Galician is excluded as not in any other way you can understand. Photos may have some interest but are scarce... Everything seems to be at the service of the economy of the ideological instrumentalization of the writer. The story of his life, its origins beyond his work, it is natural, and within its historical context but then extrapolate, as you read, all the time well watered all of cronocentrismo makes the visit have no interest.

We were waiting for more of the House. We have been in the other writers and it has given me the feeling that this have failed to squeeze the figure of the author. The House already if not invited to go since it is remote, you have to cross the train tracks and is also not very well signposted. They charge €2 per entry, the truth is not expensive, but inside there's little to scratch. Few panels, which by the way almost everyone are in Galician, few audiovisual resources, the person of the entrance not told us anything about the audio guides and plus also looked it very willing. The gardens did not have camellias (isn't time) in conclusion, in other sites know to "exploit" over what they have. It seems that they want to forget the importance of Rosalia.

As Museum does not have spectacular things, but serves as an approach to one of the most important Galician literary figures. Gardens around the House are very welcoming

  • Fermosa e interesante visita: Memoria viva de Galicia
  • Beautiful, very beautiful, Museum with great historical and sentimental content. Perhaps you would have more visits and would be most admired with a broader schedule.
