  • Its construction began in the 13th century and lasted three centuries. Very beautiful, in Gothic style, and, with many religious and cultural treasures inside! Is located in Historic Centre of Oviedo, with two magnificent alleyways, historic buildings and the central square. The Holy Chamber, that is, as the story goes, from the 9th century, was declared a world heritage site by Unesco. This is the second time that I visit. The first was in 2008 when I made the original way, which starts in Oviedo.

  • Definitely beautiful. Atypical outdoors, with a single Bell Tower, it might seem almost severed, but is nice as well. Atypical within, without the chorus placed centrally in the Middle aisle as in other Spanish cathedrals of the same period. Predominantly Gothic style, but also with Romanesque and the Baroque period, such as the magnificent altarpiece on the high altar. The ticket includes a visit with audio guide including the Cathedral Museum, with a visit to the "treasure" and the relic to which the Cathedral is famous: the Sudarium of Oviedo

  • «Who goes to Santiago and not to el Salvador, visits the servant and not the Lord.» You know, visit the Holy Church Basilica Cathedral Metropolitana of San Salvador de Oviedo is obligated, both if you're Catholic or not. It is a beautiful, Gothic Temple, of a single Tower, located in the historical centre of Oviedo. It has a highly recommended tour, which includes the Holy Chamber, from the 9TH century, declared world heritage by Unesco and is home to the most precious of the Cathedral jewels: victory and los Angeles, the box crosses of the agates and the Holy Ark, containing a large number of relics such as the Holy Shroud.
