Papagayo Beach, Nerja
(3.2/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Papagayo Beach is a picturesque beach with soft, white sand and turquoise waters. The beach is surrounded by rock cliffs, although paths have been created for easy access. The water is great for swimming, even for children, as it is shallow and calm. Take your snorkeling gear and wade out to view exotic fish through the glassy water. Parasols and beach chairs aren’t readily available, so be prepared to bring your own equipment. Take a look at our Nerja trip itinerary planner to schedule your visit to Papagayo Beach and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • A small sandy beach in Nerja. It is ideally located and close to the lovely town center and boulevard. Good restaurants and bars nearby.
  • That was by far the least fun beach that we visited during our route through Andalucia. It's very small, there was much junk, it was much too busy, the Beach Club was close and the WCs were downright nasty. It is a mystery to us why people are so positive about this beach exhausts.
