  • I would say that the heart of Asturias is cider. This drink (sabrosona, singing and pistonuda dixit Vicente Díaz) is synonymous with Merrymaking, treat and friendship. Terms as espicha, Coop, llagar, bum, mallar, windlass, prau, etc. raise the best of the idiosyncrasy of the Asturian. Cider, then, is tightly intertwined with the Asturiania. But beyond pouring there is an interesting story and that's where comes the cider Museum in Nava. In this very attractive and didactic Museum, you can learn all about the cycle of cider, including their cultural significance and folklore in lathe to it. From Apple to the windlass or the cider, the Museum shows the process of elaboration of this drink. Upon entering the Museum, stumbles with a structure which, to some extent, evokes a windlass. The visit, led by capable guides, allows you to know what the Museum called the stage of cider, from the pollination of the flower of the Apple tree to the bottle or espicha, through utensils used in the preparation. This is an interactive museum, so the visitor can participate in various activities, including games or the simple maceration of an Apple. Towards the end of the visit, the visitor will be invited to take a bum. The visit may be extended then passing through a real wound and fully operational.

  • We visited the Museum of cider and felt us it a visit very interesting. Girls that they explain and they teach you the cider production process are very majas and at the end of the visit have suoer clear as it is the process that is followed and which has been gone sen changes introduced over time to make this process less tedious but with the same efficiency and without losing quality.
