  • You cannot walk all the way to the top but it's worth a visit. The views are fantastic. There is a museum at the base which is also worth a visit.  more »
  • This small village in the outskirts of Murcia, extends to the foot of an elevation dominated by a giant statue of Christ with his grace on the surrounding plain. The colossal representation of 14 meters in height, dedicated to the heart of Jesus (heart of Jesus), comparable and more small to the Christ Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, is the work of the sculptor Nicolas Martínez Ramón. She came to replace, in 1951, a similar earlier figuration, destroyed in the war civil (1936-39). Christ, which faces to the provincial capital, is placed on a base overlooking the remains of the fortress which formerly crowning the Hill, was involved in the defence of the city and its surroundings system. Contrary to appearances, the ascent is very easy. Before arriving at the site, near, large parking lot on the left. The premises occupied for a long time and until after the Arab occupation, have proved to be very rich in archaeological evidence. So it is with happiness that has built a museum dedicated to these discoveries, located at the bottom of its south slope, called Centro de Visitantes of San (closed our passage) Cayetano of the name of the Hermitage that was enclosed in the modern building (opened in 2013). Listed property of Inreres Cultural since June 3, 1931.

  • nice view of the city.
  • Exhibition is closed. You can just climb 100m path with garbage on the sides
  • Precious and special, it overlooks all Murcia, above all nearby towns. You can climb both car as walking and parking is to be able to visit the site. I would like that they arranged the area because it is a little sloppy but I have a special affection since I am part of the village.

  • It is a fantastic site where you can see all Murcia, above all the nearby villages, mostly Monteagudo and Cabezo de Torres. Go up by a paved road until you reach a parking lot. Then you can continue down a path of sand to a viewpoint. You can climb over "medium scaling", recommended to be in shape.

  • I think a special site that share a view of the orchard of Murcia and in a privileged city. According to the story, was the enclave where resided the Moro King of Murcia, who was called "Wolf King" and later King Alfonso X resided for a time "The wise", after taking the city of Murcia. At its peak and by popular subscription of residents of Monteagudo, was erected an imposing image of the heart of Jesus, which can be viewed from almost any point of Murcia and the surrounding area. Is it accessed from the visitor center going up stairs and I recommend a visit, is very impressive and spectacular view.
