Faro de Jandia, Morro del Jable

(4.1/5 based on 480+ reviews on the web)
Found at the end of a landscape of white beaches, the lighthouse Faro de Jandia contains a small museum. Keep your eyes on the water if you’d like to spot a whale--beaked, sperm, and other varieties of these great marine mammals live together here. Note that the gravel road to the site presents difficulties without the proper vehicle. You’ll have to drive slowly either way. Put Faro de Jandia on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Morro del Jable itinerary planner.

  • With my car, I had asked the island already, to get to the Faro de Jandia you must however stock and his driving, a dirt road without mark there is no real road in the sense, rather, carefully driving. The strain of driving compensated however for the subject of what is beautiful.

  • It is located in the southern tip of Fuerteventura. It is reached by a dirt track in good condition from Morro Jable and the views from the lighthouse are magnificent. Before you arrive is the town of Santa Cruz, a very basic village with some restaurants, but currently have installed a large number of roulotes without wheels to rent them rooms, unfortunately a blight on the landscape.

  • Locations within a long winding dirt road, but the views are worth it. It is possibly the southernmost point of the island

  • It's a nice little lighthouse in the south of the island. There isn't too much to see there except for a small museum and a few interesting cliffs right next to the place. It is mildly different than the rest of the island so that's kind of interesting to see. This might be due to the long journey requited to get there which might take as much as an hour there and another hour back. I recommend packiging the trip with a trip to another place located west of Morro Jable. I believe I was once able to see Gran Canaria from the lighthouse, which is nice.
  • A bit of a journey to get to but well worth it !
  • Wonderful... If you are in fuerteventura , you can't don't go to visit this place.
  • Beautiful place, road quality isn't that good.
  • Beautiful spot, but toilet and bar was closed every year we went there. Bad road!
