Faro de Jandia, Morro del Jable

(550+ reviews on the web)
Lighthouse Tourist Spot
Found at the end of a landscape of white beaches, the lighthouse Faro de Jandia contains a small museum. Keep your eyes on the water if you’d like to spot a whale--beaked, sperm, and other varieties of these great marine mammals live together here. Note that the gravel road to the site presents difficulties without the proper vehicle. You’ll have to drive slowly either way. Put Faro de Jandia on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Morro del Jable itinerary planner.

  • I have never felt so harassed by shopkeepers in my life, not even in markets in Turkey. They followed you around the shops, and if you didnt buy they were so rude. This was particularly so in the tour...  more »

  • Must see location in the island. Not the most spheric but definitely gorgeous. Driving there was epic as it's mostly twisty gravel roads (i recommend renting a jeep for this - make sure the rental allows off-road - or doing the Buggy Mix Experience tour on quads and buggies - tell them i sent you).
  • Very nice place. It's really worth to stay and watch the sunset.
  • Prachtig!! Must-See!! U have to see the ocean here. There's something spectacular about it. I will not reveal the "secret"....
  • Great location for enjoying a beautiful sunset. The last 20-25min drive towards the lighthouse is on gravel roads so consider getting a cover for the tires in case you're having a tiny rental car.
  • It's a nice little lighthouse in the south of the island. There isn't too much to see there except for a small museum and a few interesting cliffs right next to the place. It is mildly different than the rest of the island so that's kind of interesting to see. This might be due to the long journey requited to get there which might take as much as an hour there and another hour back. I recommend packiging the trip with a trip to another place located west of Morro Jable. I believe I was once able to see Gran Canaria from the lighthouse, which is nice.
