  • The other place where the funicular heads down instead of going up. Do budget over an hour if you decide to go down here. Also there's at least 15 minutes of a bug slope to encounter for coming back u...  more »
  • To get to the Santa Cova, the best way is to climb out of funicular. Then there's one more part on foot, with descents and climbs. The view, until you reach the Santa Cova, is beautiful! You can see the mountains, the Valley and the monastery. The Holy Grave itself is pretty simple. I'd say it's worth it especially for the view of the way there.

  • This site is a place of prayer and silence, some believe that they are walking down the ramblas, devotees of the Virgin of Montserrat visit him with great faith. Place where met promises that in its day was borrowed to the Virgin.

  • Nice hike from Montserrat. It's a holy place, the community's reverence for the place is quite visible. Worth a visit.
  • The cave is wrapped and protected by a small chapel, that seems to be hanging on the cliff. It's a quite nice piece of architecture. Different from most catholic temples, it has a very simple decoration. To get there, you must take a trail from the Montserrat Monastery. There is a funicular that covers the steepest part of the trail, but i don't recommend taking it to go down, because it doesn't worth the price. Use it only for going back up, if you're tired. Te trail is ornamented with lots of religious sculptures.
