La Cala Golf, Mijas

#1 of 8 in Golf in Mijas
Golf Course · Outdoor Activity
La Cala Golf offers 60 holes of golf, which makes it the largest golf complex in the country. With a luxury hotel, spa, and restaurants available, as well, the only other thing you could want is a fantastic location. Fortunately, the resort has views of the Costa del Sol and the mountains. Try the special of the day when eating at the clubhouse, and keep an eye out for the British expatriate community in town if you’d like to meet English speakers. • We tee’d off at 15.30 hours. Two of us and buggy included for €68 ! Incredible value. Played the American course which was excellent although hard to judge the distances to the flag. Will be a back...  more »

  • Playing and eating here for the second time and enjoyed it both times. Excellent friendly welcome from the golf staff and in the bar/restaurant. A wide selection of food on the menu, something for everyone and good portion sizes. Very tasty calamari, and ribs in particular. On the course, we have only played Campo America on both occasions. In great condition and some cannily placed bunkers mean this course has to be navigated with care. We'll definitely play it again.
  • Played the europa course, great views and course was in good condition. The only little point was the bunkers seemed a bit scruffy but would recommend it. Hire clubs were TM m6. Great customer service also :)
  • I have been playing here for years. Two of the courses are fantastic, the third Europa I think is a slog even on a good day. Both Asia and America are different challenges but all around great golf courses. The club house and facilities are second to none. Have seen it advertised as a wedding venue and I think it would be a spectacular one with the views from the club house. All around great club, it has been there since I came to Spain and I can see it being there for a very long time.
  • Interesting to play, but the land where the courses are laid out is not really suitable for a golf course. Very hilly, many uphill and downhill holes, shots over canyons, blind tee shots, etc. Well maintained, service is good, food is OK but nothing special. They do have a tapas menu which we didn't try.
  • Great golf. 3 courses. A long way oit of town. Great mates place.
