  • In the cave, such as carved shrine Mary decoration shall be there is a small chapel. Chapel of the local was loved by the people that is ceased. From the outside you can view sea and white houses

  • The Hermitage itself is very nice, small, carved into the rock... but the best thing is its views out to the coast, breathtaking sunset

  • I am a very big fan of Mijas and this place is one of my absolute favourites! It is a place to relax (if there are not too many tourists are) and absolutely incredible how this church/chapel was created.

  • Serene and lovely place. Very impressed. Just step outside for wonderful views of Fuengirola.
  • Amazing view of Fuengirola, and very very quiet and relaxed place to look at the horizon and enjoy the view with the sea at the end.
  • Hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, the patron saint of Mijas....Mercedarian monks built the chapel in 1520 and inside is a carved wooden image of the virgin allegedly dating back to AD850. It is a delightful little building, although I find it a bit incongruous that, just like a number of ancient churches that I have visited in recent years, it has electronic candles rather than the real thing!
  • A very beautiful small chapel in Mijas Pueblo
  • Nice view
