  • This unusual place is very well laid out around our Lady of la Peña. We need this work to 26 years of work of a priest (Brother Diego). Work completed in 1682

  • This is one of the most Amazing places that we been in our holidays. Is just Beautiful. La virgen is just Amazing and the Ermita inside the rock is beautiful. Please dont miss it if you going to Mijas  more »
  • Great little chapel, carved into the rock, which the founder created more 20 years. It is a unique artefact-a statue of the Virgin Mary found in miraculous circumstances in late 16 century. This Virgin became patroness of Mijas. I really enjoyed the whole chapel in flowers and bouquets, well-groomed, with artifacts under glass and with stunning must-see positive energy.

  • Serene and lovely place. Very impressed. Just step outside for wonderful views of Fuengirola.
  • Amazing view of Fuengirola, and very very quiet and relaxed place to look at the horizon and enjoy the view with the sea at the end.
  • Hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, the patron saint of Mijas....Mercedarian monks built the chapel in 1520 and inside is a carved wooden image of the virgin allegedly dating back to AD850. It is a delightful little building, although I find it a bit incongruous that, just like a number of ancient churches that I have visited in recent years, it has electronic candles rather than the real thing!
  • A very beautiful small chapel in Mijas Pueblo
  • Nice view
