  • Lots of charm to this small chapel which must be filled quickly in the summer. The garden and the view around are great!

  • A must-see if you're coming to Mijas is undoubtedly the chapel dedicated to the Virgen de La Peña, patron saint of the village, the Virgin is a cave in rock where the story appeared over 400 years ago to some shepherds, all the 8 days of September all the villagers take out it in a beautiful procession with much fervor

  • Serene and lovely place. Very impressed. Just step outside for wonderful views of Fuengirola.
  • Amazing view of Fuengirola, and very very quiet and relaxed place to look at the horizon and enjoy the view with the sea at the end.
  • Hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, the patron saint of Mijas....Mercedarian monks built the chapel in 1520 and inside is a carved wooden image of the virgin allegedly dating back to AD850. It is a delightful little building, although I find it a bit incongruous that, just like a number of ancient churches that I have visited in recent years, it has electronic candles rather than the real thing!
  • A very beautiful small chapel in Mijas Pueblo
  • Nice view
