  • Container and content are magnificent. The Museum was designed by Moneo, and is impressive. He was no doubt inspired by Roman architecture. Inside parts are perfectly exposed and explained. The Museum workers do a great job.

  • The visit not tired, is enjoyed and is quite short. Perfect view of mosaic hanging on the wall, allowing a greater observation of a whole and spectacular busts and other relics.

  • We saw very critical views regarding this, but in my view, if you like the art and history, the National Museum of Roman art has a collection of Roman sculptures, mosaics, ceramics, glass and up to numismatics that will surprise you. My advice is that you take your time to discover all the wonders that have remained buried in Merida for several centuries.

  • The museum keeps you busy with a nice and spacious display of exhibits found in Merida. The explanations are easy to understand. In addition, the building housing the artifacts is also an impressive brick edifice.
  • Worth the trip since admission is included with other roman sights. However many artifacts do not have English translations.
  • Splendid, spacious, luminous, no crowded Museum. Worth not to be missed if you are going to Merida.

  • The capital of Extremadura. The city of more than 2,000 years of history. Emerita Augusta. This museum is one of the most important of Spain is its Romanesque style, it is very well organized and preserved, Merida offers the tourist a very nice city to visit and learn about Roman history, we can find many interesting things, crosses the Guadiana river, two bridges one with over 2,000 years of history, and give them best preserved in the world , and the other modern. It is a city that deserves to be visited.
