Marvel at the impressive collection at Museo Nacional de Arte Romano, an art museum that reflects Roman architecture with its archways, columns, and skylights. The statues found here are especially notable, including a marble bust of Augustus Caesar, which is considered one of the best in Europe. Among the paintings are large mosaics hung on the walls. There are also collections of glass works, coins, and more. When you arrive, ask about a guided tour to get more detailed information about the displays. • Not entered into our viditarlo plans, but go on Sunday and be that day the entry free encouraged us. We were pleasantly surprised, and indeed, I consider essential to visit it. Was impressive. We loved it.

  • I liked both the building itself as the things that you can see inside, from statues, mosaics and objects of all kinds to a Roman road, remains of villas and the reproduction of a Roman domus. It is worth to see it, also isn't very expensive entry and on Sunday is free.

  • The museum keeps you busy with a nice and spacious display of exhibits found in Merida. The explanations are easy to understand. In addition, the building housing the artifacts is also an impressive brick edifice.
  • Worth the trip since admission is included with other roman sights. However many artifacts do not have English translations.
  • Splendid, spacious, luminous, no crowded Museum. Worth not to be missed if you are going to Merida.
