  • In essence are the ruins of what must have been a large house (and perhaps more) on the outskirts of the ancient walled city. The issue is that they are fairly well preserved and a mosaic on the ground that are not easy to see in this kind of excavations. Very successful all the explanations that you find in the information panels. It is also within the same enclosure as the Columbarium, an ancient necropolis. You have a short walk which, if you follow the directions of the panels, will make you rethink some philosophical questions.

  • The mind of the traveller nearing the Roman House of the time. The truth is that these Romans knew to live. It has several beautiful mosaics and some pieces of wall painted as well as some decorated column. Interesting.

  • It is an interesting House, rich people can get to the idea as they lived in that time, mosaics and paintings from the period are preserved, is also interesting the Columbarium, which are next to the House, will visit within the enclosure, can be seen as they were buried and cremated, recommend go reading explanations are exposed, is a way to better understand what it is seeing. This close to the plaza de toros, that I recommend to visit because all around are restaurants for a drink, is decorated with plants and bull heads, if not you go not imagine as it is.

  • Casa Mistreo...Ciudad Romana.. Emerita August
  • Very interesting to see the ruins of the Roman mansion house. It's in very good condition and there are mock ups of what it would have looked like. Unfortunately all the descriptions are in Spanish only.
  • Roman House well preserved and well explained

  • It is impressive to see the architecture of that time. As they organized the housing with distributions similar to those of today
