Salobre Golf and Resort, Maspalomas
(4/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
Strategically built to blend with the landscape, Salobre Golf and Resort offers luxurious views of mountain and sea throughout. Enjoy the tranquility of the sustainably designed golf courses and appreciate the native plant and animal life as you play. The challenging north course takes advantage of the natural volcanic rock terrain and is not for those with a fear of heights. Try out the south course for a slightly less technical game. Both courses are hilly and require a lot of walking, so hiring a golf cart is recommended. If you wish to improve your game, the academy on site also offers programs for all levels. • The two directly at the Sheraton located Salobre Golf courses are impressive and offer a great scenic pictures. In particular by the new course that is much more difficult to play, we were thrilled. An absolutely interesting place, forgive small mistakes. Very varied courses with fairways inserted harmoniously into the landscape of mountain and very fast Greens. Spectacular tees, partially with balcony tees over ravines, which draw many balls directly into the depths. It is advisable to have a larger number of balls here! The old course is not quite as spectacular, for it but also easier to play. It is also fun and offers great views. The first 9 holes are however more interesting to play than the considerably more boring second 9 holes. The tracks on the old course are sometimes quite close together. Both courses were manicured look good overall. Negative note is the missing food station, to purchase drinks or snacks on the round. A buggy is recommended on both courses.

  • Played at the first time on the Salobre Golf (new path)-it has two paths. The new path is very challenging, and especially perhaps, then it is the first time I was there. The day was unfortunately not quite so good, when we already after only a played hole had to apply in coverage due to real rain. And to resume the game later was a bit heavy-but still I managed to walk the path around inside the disabled mine. When it comes to service and price, then I will say that the service was very good-but at a cost of close to 100 euros will I allow myself to say: there is too much to play 18 holes.

  • The old and the new course are very hilly and challenging. Both the distance and the terrain from a buggy (even for hardcore 'to walk goers'!) is strongly recommended. Take enough balls, especially on the new course. The fairways and Greens are well maintained. The discounts are sometimes very exciting, especially on the new course. Long drives are often needed, but it is worthwhile in any case. Beautiful views and challenging courses. I have very rarely seen more spectacular places! To criticize is that nowhere are water fountains where you could fill up the 2 x 0, 5 L water that you get with in the buggy. On the old course came a buggy with drinks over (at hole 17!) and on the new course, no one came by. In any case, take enough water! Clubhouse is in short supply, after the golf take out where the beer buses and cars at the entrance of the hotel and made a clear negative for the 19th Hole drive....

  • Really nice staff. Very stylish hotel. Even great food and a cool sunset area.
  • Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are first class and spotless! Attention to detail is spot on. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I have used to optional Spa everyday at a cost of €35. Well worth budgeting for that. There's access to a private pool, beds, sauna, steam room and a while array of treatments. Food is what you'd expect from a buffet style breakfast and dinner but again the staff are very attentive. They remember who you are, what room your in and even what your tipple is. Forget buying cash before you come out. Just charge to your room and settle at the end. A perfect place, beautiful surroundings. I will come again!!
  • Near perfect! Plenty of food choices, multiple pools to choose from. Gorgeous views and rooms. Only down sides are 15-20 min walk to the shop, no fridge in the rooms and an ice machine on each floor would definitely be welcomed!
  • Brilliant hotel set back into the mountains. Very peaceful, food is exquisite, rooms are immaculate, can't fault! This is our second visit in two years and we'll be back for a third at some point!
  • Really nice stay here so far only down side is that it's a bit remote.
