Salobre Golf and Resort, Maspalomas

(4/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Strategically built to blend with the landscape, Salobre Golf and Resort offers luxurious views of mountain and sea throughout. Enjoy the tranquility of the sustainably designed golf courses and appreciate the native plant and animal life as you play. The challenging north course takes advantage of the natural volcanic rock terrain and is not for those with a fear of heights. Try out the south course for a slightly less technical game. Both courses are hilly and require a lot of walking, so hiring a golf cart is recommended. If you wish to improve your game, the academy on site also offers programs for all levels. • Played the "new" path, and after my level, HCP 29.9, very challenging. Played it with two Swedes who had played it before and got good advice and tips. At the same time I would have never been the challenge. A very varied and an amazing nature experience to go round. More drinking stations along the way and a path very well kept and nurtured. Treating all a round at this path

  • Concerning the courts, one must distinguish clearly between North and South or new and old. The South or old is very nice. The tracks on the North and new are very stubborn and hard to play if you don't know the place. Basically, the tees for men were very confusing on both courses. First you had to find them first and once you hit off red originally white and then back to original. The service of Caddymaster is very friendly. Major point of criticism is the hotel or a missing Clubhouse. So there we would certainly never want to sleep and after the round you can take immediately a taxi for the return trip, because there are no welcoming Clubhouse.

  • The nick names for these 2 courses is "the Beast" for the New Course & "the Beauty" for the Old Course. The views on both are spectacular. I personally preferred the New Course because if you know whe...  more »

  • Really nice staff. Very stylish hotel. Even great food and a cool sunset area.
  • Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are first class and spotless! Attention to detail is spot on. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I have used to optional Spa everyday at a cost of €35. Well worth budgeting for that. There's access to a private pool, beds, sauna, steam room and a while array of treatments. Food is what you'd expect from a buffet style breakfast and dinner but again the staff are very attentive. They remember who you are, what room your in and even what your tipple is. Forget buying cash before you come out. Just charge to your room and settle at the end. A perfect place, beautiful surroundings. I will come again!!
  • Near perfect! Plenty of food choices, multiple pools to choose from. Gorgeous views and rooms. Only down sides are 15-20 min walk to the shop, no fridge in the rooms and an ice machine on each floor would definitely be welcomed!
  • Brilliant hotel set back into the mountains. Very peaceful, food is exquisite, rooms are immaculate, can't fault! This is our second visit in two years and we'll be back for a third at some point!
  • Really nice stay here so far only down side is that it's a bit remote.
