Palmitos Park, Maspalomas

(4.3/5 based on 5,000+ reviews on the web)
Packed with exotic plants and animals, Palmitos Park is a 20 hectare (49 acre) botanic garden and aviary located just a short drive from the island’s popular beaches. The big appeal of this park is its great wealth of cacti and succulents, with over 160 different cactus types and nearly 1,000 palm trees of 42 varieties. The park houses over 1,500 exotic birds, representing about 230 different species. Hummingbirds, swans, ducks, parrots, crocodiles, and monkeys may be the park’s most popular residents, but you can also choose to visit the aquarium, noted for its large fish and coral displays and daily dolphin shows. This park is also home to Europe’s biggest butterfly house. As you near the exit, visit the park’s souvenir shop. • Hidden in between the mountains, after driving in a public bus on the narrow, curly roads, the parking lot suddenly appears. The queue to the ticket booth can be quite long.. but don't turn back. It i...  more »
  • Palmitos Park is one of the attractions on the island. This is such a zoo, with additional shows performing "poor" animals. Is quite large, cute vegetation, animals you can see a little tired this bustle, noise and tabunem a chance people. Tickets are very expensive.

  • The second time we visit the park with the children in batches. Very well maintained park in a ravine with the natural surroundings of the island's middle. Fun shows where the Eagles may fly free and dolphins as splashar and dances. The focus seems to be on exotic birds. Bring a packed lunch as it is expensive. A small-cream cone costs 3.50 EUR and want to pet a dolphin is the only to fork up with EUR 30. Maybe you can't afford after entry of EUR 82 for family with children on 8.4 and 2. Save money on admission by purchasing tickets online, not at the hotel. Taxi from Playa del Ingles cost EUR 20 ink drinking in large fresh * sheets Kathedral Dubrovnik. Was in place at 10 when it opens and best tip: Go round against the tide (counterclockwise) so you can stroll freely without all the people in the way!

  • Excellent place for young and old alike. It is not especially cheap at €30 per adult but can be worth it if you take the time to watch all the shows. The birds of prey show and the dolphin show are particularly good. Food is also priced high but you could take your own if you wanted. Plenty of animals on show as well as the open air shows.
  • Worth the time and money spent. The numerous shows shall entertain all age groups. Give the park at least six hours plus the drive. The canyon where the venue is located is a price itself. Staff is very friendly. Be nice and get a chance to play with some of the birds and dolphins.
  • A great place for a half day visit when you need a break from the pools. Both the eagle show and the dolphin show is worth the time. There is a decent restaurant in the park but otherwise it's fast food of debatable quality. So it might be better to bring a picnic.
  • Awesome park. I have been there many many times, and its always a great pleasure. The shows are high quality.
  • This park is very nice and the shows are okay. Still I believe it's way to overpriced both for the entrance and for dining in the park (Low quality food). I would recommend going to the Cocodrilo Park instead, which is smaller, but the price and the experience is way more compareable here.
