Where to stay in Malaga

For a chance to experience the heart of the city center, you will want to stay in the area surrounding Calle Larios and Alameda Principal. This constitutes the commercial shopping district of the city and is a convenient walk to the city's main attractions and beaches. Another option is the historical city center, where an array of lively tapas bars and shops intermix with the dramatic Gothic architecture. For a true beach vacation, choose to stay in one of the hotels lining the city beach where you can soak up views of the beautiful Costa Dorada away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

  • The big park between the beach and centre in Malaga is really beautiful. You can clearly see they make an effort to keep it that way.  more »

  • . An extremely pleasant and attractive city park After our disappointment at the Concepcion Botanical park, we were delighted to find this park in central Malaga. It was much nicer than the Concepcion Botanical park, we felt, and it was free! Shady alley ways, fountains with pretty statues, and flowers all round. Yes, there was a little noise from the streets on either side, but not too intrusive. All in all, an excellent find! And if you just cross the road, you find another, more formal French-chateau-style park: Los jardines de Pedro Luis Alonso, also worth a visit. .
  • One of the best parks in the world, stunning variety of plants carefully positioned and blended for maximum view effect, the layout of the park has been carefully studied and a walk into it is a pleasure of life.
  • The Paseo del Parque is a pleasant place to visit. A splendid way to get from the Alcazaba to the harbour is to walk the length of this verdant botanical garden. It is a quiet oasis amidst the bustle of the surrounding streets.
  • Nice and cozy park for a walk or having rest
