  • The continent it is interesting and very commendable that Pedro de Mena has restored the House of the sculptor and has given the order to serve as a museum to a painter so excellent as Revello de Toro, whose works are delicious, both in portrait and in the treatment of absolutely comparable to the Zurbaran fabrics.

  • Within the Museum landscape of Málaga, this small, but no less interesting Museum, represents a stroll by the work varied artist Revello de Toro. From the building where it is located, to the variety of the works, make the visit more than interesting. Perhaps, by the wide range of major museums that today has the city, has been somewhat relegated to background. However, is worth to be visited.

  • Stunning portraiture.
  • fantastic. small but worth for visit
  • Confidence del dios tiene El Pintor. He is a revelation. Unfortunately we could not personally get to know him. The images have impressed us. It expresses the beauty, in particular of women. He is a master of at depicting the personalities. I have a feeling that he can capture the soul in his paintings. It's worth visiting the Museum.

  • Located in the historic centre of the city, two minutes from the newly opened Museum of Malaga, alcazaba and the Cathedral, it is housed in what was the House and workshop of Pedro de Mena, fully restored and converted into an ideal space for the work of the author. Its interior houses more than one hundred works between oils, pencil drawings, sketches, and even waxes. As not, the main protagonist of the exhibition is the portrait, of which find a wide sample. To finish, a temporary exhibition entitled "ladies. Female portraits", which from January 13 to April 2, 2017 presents nine superb works of the artist. The entrance fee is very reasonable €2.50, and includes audio tour. Us is, likewise, a 10 minute documentary on the life and work of Pedro de Mena. The Museum is not very large; with one hour we must have time to enjoy it without strain. The opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00-20.00; Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 to 14.00 hours. Closes on Mondays.

Where to stay in Malaga

For a chance to experience the heart of the city center, you will want to stay in the area surrounding Calle Larios and Alameda Principal. This constitutes the commercial shopping district of the city and is a convenient walk to the city's main attractions and beaches. Another option is the historical city center, where an array of lively tapas bars and shops intermix with the dramatic Gothic architecture. For a true beach vacation, choose to stay in one of the hotels lining the city beach where you can soak up views of the beautiful Costa Dorada away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
