Art Museum
Located in a 17th-century inn, Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares offers a snapshot of life in Málaga as it was centuries ago. Each of the museum's 19 rooms offers a complete look at a particular trade or industry, as shown by its artifacts. Wander through an 18th-century blacksmith shop and emerge into a bakery with a corn-grinding mill and other traditional baking implements. Toward the back of the house, you'll find a room dedicated to the Málagueño fishing industry, including a traditional sardine fishing boat. Other rooms are home to wine-making artifacts, costumes, toys, early printed art, and more. The museum contains a remarkable amount of detail, down to the embers in the bedroom hearth. • The Museum is of type ' mixed bag ' (positive), but with fine focus in the individual departments. All in all it was a really excellent experience on a day where there just had to be a little coolness and shade to. While the Museum provides it, it shall, within the different genres, so it is at the same time, an exciting and somewhat larger House than ever expected. The House is in itself worthy of conservation and has been carefully and credibly restored. The House is built around a classic Spanish patio, where there are rest option for weary visitors. You should not select this museum if you are the type who think that there must be ' Picasso ' at the bottom of all pictures and illustrations. If you are a bit interested in human lives in Spain in ancient time, then you should definitely make it. It is all the time worth spent. Entrance fee 4 Euro for adults-2 Euro for retirees. It is a find for the money.

  • This museum is downtown, filled with antique objects that were used in Malaga bourgeois everyday life. There are carriages, forging utensils, clothing and even a delivery room chair. It serves to give an idea of the life which was carried before. Also located in a very nice mansion.
