(4/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Delve into 19th-century Spanish art at Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga. Housed in a converted 16th-century Baroque palace, the museum features a permanent collection of works, from landscapes to portraits, done by predominantly Andalusian painters. For an interesting perspective on the development and culture of southern Spain, admire well-known pieces such as Plá’s “Ladies in the Garden” or “La Buenaventura” by Romero de Torres. Stop for a coffee and pastry at the museum’s palace cafe before leaving. • I did the trip of more than one hour and a half to see an exhibition about Japan I saw advertised where I live. Once you get display was a small room and not of a quality that deserved as much advertising, but here is evaluated the Museum in general. Very nice, clean and has one of them lifts more large that I have seen in my life! Very well to combine it with the Picasso and other attractions of Malaga but for my not is a museum that I inspired return.

  • At 1 minute walking from Plaza de Las Flores, in the heart of the town centre. Excellent Musseum. It is worth visiting!.
  • Great exhibitions and permanent collection and the building is a beautiful one, visit the shop with a great collection of art books and assorted gadgets
  • The permanent collection is beautiful and the QR codes to scan near the paintings provide additional information about the artist and the piece.
  • Very nice collection of works from a variety of artists and styles. It is also worth coming again every few months to see the temporary exhibitions. Tickets can be bought separately for the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
  • Good collection lacking true master works
