  • Definitely worth a visit! Trees and plants from around the world, attached to an old family estate. Many shaded arcades and water systems. Can be determined differently experienced to different seasons. Here and there some corners had something neglected, what may be due also to the currently prevailing drought. Still, clear recommendation! On Sunday from 15:30, admission is free by the way.

  • lots of intriguing things in this park, a simple bus journey from the center, and then a 10 minute walk up a hill. The cafe was brilliant we had a really excellent lunch before having a walk around th...  more »
  • The Botanical Garden is a beautifully landscaped complex. Unfortunately he left the impression during our visit as if not enough money for the maintenance of the garden. Too bad, because the potential of large and old trees is enormous. It really comes in part like a rain forest. What else is to keep in Germany only in huge greenhouses, grows there by alone. Very nice also the Hibiscus Avenue. Perhaps, more visitors would come if you would invest more in the care of the garden. It works well in the Centre with the facilities at the port. Anyway, really worth watching

  • Very big garden with wide variety of plant species and a nice café with good food and friendly staff. There is a lot to see here and it's a very good distraction from the busy down town/beach areas. 20min cab ride from the main train station if you have a couple hours to kill. About €5.20 entrance fee but well worth it for the peace and tranquility. There are many paths to explore and benches to rest on and enjoy the nature. Pet friendly as well.
  • Lush, expansive, and historic Park just outside of the city. Nice casual walking trails suited for families. Extensive range of botanical species, and some nice views. There's several areas however that are more difficult to reach with a stroller or wheelchair. The red tour busses stop here. There are also two parking lots available. Free on Sunday. Coffee and gift shop.
  • Lovley place to visit on a hot day in malaga you can visit using the hop on hop off bus green line cost €1.30 great value
  • One of the must visit places in Málaga, the botanical gardens in Málaga are simply wonderful. A highly recommended place to visit during your holidays on the Costa del Sol. Created by the Marquises de Casa Loring in 1850 until 1990 when it was taken over by Málaga city council. In total 49 hectares fully accessible with an abundance of trees and plant life from around the world. Around the world in 80 trees is one of the featured walks, with trees from 5 continents. The amazing forest trek with panoramic views of the Málaga coastline. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 8.30 - 9.30 from march to September. Take time to visit, the lakes, ponds, waterfalls and flora and vegetation in Málaga,s treasure..
  • Great place for long summer walks with the family. I recommend driving to it because it's not that close to the city. There's a little cafeteria and a souvenir shop. Gardens have plenty of places to sit in nature. I recommend going in spring, because the plants look tired in the summer's heat.

Where to stay in Malaga

For a chance to experience the heart of the city center, you will want to stay in the area surrounding Calle Larios and Alameda Principal. This constitutes the commercial shopping district of the city and is a convenient walk to the city's main attractions and beaches. Another option is the historical city center, where an array of lively tapas bars and shops intermix with the dramatic Gothic architecture. For a true beach vacation, choose to stay in one of the hotels lining the city beach where you can soak up views of the beautiful Costa Dorada away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
