  • The source of Genoa (also known as source of Carlos V, because it was commissioned by it) is in the Plaza de la Constitución. It is marble Renaissance-style and it was built in the 16th century. Supposedly coming from Genoa. By order of the Emperor Carlos V fountain was divided into two parts as large, sending the bottom to Úbeda and staying in Malaga top with included Eagle. It was originally located in this plaza, but had other locations in Malaga: at the Mall and in the Park. In 2003 it was reinstated on one side of the Plaza de la Constitucion. It is very nice, it is worth going to see it. Anyway, is a place of forced step, because it is in the heart of the city. This area is beautiful, especially at night, by the light source and the plaza are most beautiful.

  • spent some time studying this fountain with my two year old. His main argument for its splendor was that there was water in it. This is a 16th century marble fountain in the Renaissance style. Unknown...  more »

  • It is one of the oldest in Malaga sources dates from the 16th century and is of Renaissance style. It is believed that comes from the Italian city of Genoa, hence its name, and cost in your day nothing less than 1000 ducats to the city coffers. It has recently been restored and although you can enjoy it all year round is in summer when most appreciated its beauty.
