Western Water Park, Magaluf

(2.9/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
With their colorful wooden edifices, the buildings inside Western Water Park seem straight out of Hollywood Westerns. The difference, of course, is that this is a water park, so the people walking in and out of the swinging doors are wearing bathing suits, not chaps. Here you’ll find Wild West-themed slides and a relaxed swimming area, as well as a restaurant serving snacks. • It's a great sunny day out. The lines are massive however! I would suggest spending the extra €10 for an advanced pass to bypass the long queues! Lots to do. The food and drinks are expensive however!...  more »
  • It was a very fun day, I didn't stop for a second to be able to do all things. A must go!

  • To all the readers...don't be put off by the other bad reviews about the park. My lovely and I went to the park today. We had a fantastic day out! There's a few things to keep in mind when planning to visit: 1. Depending on the time and date you go will affect the overall experience of the park. -High season = Packed (very very long queues) so a 'Fast track' pass is a MUST (10€ per pass) and get there early. Avoid weekends. -Low(ish) season (end of August) = Less people. The best time to go in my opinion. 2. Bring your own food in a bag. The food inside (apparently) is bad...but it is expensive. 3. If you're a couple or you are with friends, don't bring phones, wallets, valuables etc if you are not prepared to pay for a locker. Suggestion: Just bring a few euros for transport. Pack a bag with food (put the money inside), place your towel on the grass, head to the rides and enjoy your day! Sometimes you just got to enjoy and stop taking photos/recordings/facebook/tweets/etcs....LIVE THE MOMENT!! Stress free! 4. If its sunny (which always is) bring flip-flops and wear them as the ground gets boiling hot! I see some ridiculous comments about how they blame the park for not doing enough due to "the ground being too hot". Seriously?? If its too hot use your brain and wear flip flops. The park also sells protective footwear. 5. They take photos (which then on your way out you have the option to buy) of you at the entrance. If you don't want the staff to take photos just decline politely. Again, i read bad reviews about how they charge a lot for photos. To make things clear you are NOT obliged to buy any photos from the park. My lovely and I took a few photos but we never bought them. They are expensive but at least it was lovely to look at (on our way out). €10 per photo and after is €5 per extra photo. The reason why I gave the park 4 stars and not 5 is because: 1. The park needs some TLC ASAP. Still safe, but some of the grip on the wooden floor is worn out so be very careful. 2. Some of the staff (lifeguards) can be quite rude. Or seem to be. Don't forget they do this for a living. Sitting in the hot sun with little movement and there are stupid people out there which do stupid things. At the end of the day they do try keep you safe but they do need to be a little more polite. 3. Toilets are a bit dirty and need more regular cleaning. But overall it's a great fun experience. We both loved it!
  • Okay let me just get this clear: they are trying to push every penny out of your wallet and are by far not hygienic. So this a few things they ask money for (aside from the 27€ entry fee) 1 'fast lane' this makes the people who have paid extra be able to skip the usual queue and stand in a queue with other fast laners. Also they get other advantages which will make you have to wait more 2 don't even think about buying yourself a 3 course dinner as it is of crappy quality and will cost you a fortune, we were through 40 euros for a pathetic amount of crappy food 3 photos, their crew is gonna start asking you if they can make a picture of you, which is free, but then you need to buy the picture from a stall which costs 10€ for the first picture and 5€ for every picture after that 4 sunbathing seats and special inflatable boats to go down a slide Also I found that all the tables weren't cleaned properly, food was everywhere around and on them, and none of their personnel would bother to clean it. The toilets really smelled like crap, and even though you had to walk through it on your bare feet, the floor was not cleaned at all. Also I found that the water filtering is very slow. I was looking through the water and I found that there were very few filtered water inputs, for a pool that was 4x the size of a normal pool. Which is ridiculous. The water is very turbid and tastes very bad. So a good shower is adviced after the swimming Aside from all that the slides were okay, even though you had to literally wait an hour in the queue for some of them
  • A very very expensive day out. Buying food there is a massive no no! 3 pizzas and 4 drinks was 77 euro's. Im no cheapskate but i told them i wasnt paying that and reduced my order. Kids had a great day though.
  • Too expensif for what it has to offer, plus, when you already pay full price, it's a shame to have to pay for beach chair, or the locker (7€!!) So if you really want to enjoy the park, it raises the price to 45 euro. I don't recomend it.
  • We had a great day at the park! There where no extra costs, the staff was friendly. We recommend you to visit this park when you have the time! :)
