  • Not again I go further, I promise you! Ranging from bad to worse. Gotten rid of a lot of animals, crocodiles e.g. area of snakes, spiders, frogs and etc. be deleted completely, Aquarium dolphins closed in the bottom until the end of summer have and thus more things. Restaurants closed, except the entry, almost all vending with faults, cost us to get a bottle of water. Sell tickets until 00: 00 h of the night, but gentlemen do not fall, because apart from 22:00 h is not nothing, little or no lighting many animals saved... anyway, I will not go more.

  • The zoo features a variety of different animals including pandas in which we were very excited as we had both never seen one before. Seeing the baby panda the zoo had was definitely highlight! Had lot...  more »
  • His were visiting the zoo of mothers and I must say it is very nice w well maintained. For each animal species both small and large was recreated their habitat. Very nice feed flamingos and see the koala and panda. Shame not to be entered into the cage of the lemurs as they come in on Saturday and Sunday. Recommended

  • Great animals, great shows. The only problem is related to food. Only junk food. Very small meat pieces. Bring food you like and eat on benches close to animals.
  • Lovely walk around the zoo seeing animals from near and afar. Pandas are a MUST see! All the enclosures are big and spacious for the animals. Very pretty zoo, only downside is the drinks machines around the zoo weren't working (due to down season I guess)
  • Big zoo with lots of non-human people's letting themselves be watched and shouted at. Very amusing to see people throwing sweets to the monkeys and bears as I'm sure they appreciate this. Pigeons were my favourite animal here.
  • Great place to spend the day, huge green area, very clean cages, big verity of animals and birds Very recommended You can a public transport (either metro or bus) and to have a short walk from the station. Bring some food and water with you , the prices are not cheap , and the lines are frustrating
  • We had a blast! The zoo is well organized (by countries) and very clean. There is so many different animals and fishes (they have an aquarium)! We paid around 19€ per person (bought the tickets online). The zoo is easily accessible if you don't have a car; you can take the metro and walk a bit or a bus. We had a great time ! Good activity for one day.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
