  • Great emblematic building of the city of Madrid. Is in the Plaza Callao on passage of Gran Via. An area of theatres, musicals and theaters.

  • Without doubt one of the most charismatic buildings of Gran Via, popularly known as the Capitol building. It is possible to identify this building from any point on the Gran Via. It's easy to recognize the building by large advertising the "Schweppes" crowning the Tower of the building. The Corrion has 54 meters high and its inauguration occurred in December 1932.

  • Madrid is one of the major European cities with tall buildings and ancient in this architectural form, a kind of corner. This is one of the main, with the front facing the Plaza Callao. Daring architecture, without doubt. Worth careful observation by the tourist interested in architectural style. The Ordinance is in the works this summer.

  • Amazing location and very modern decoration. The room wasn't the most spacious I have been in, but not too small either. The bathroom was huge and extremely nicely decorated. The lighting system in the room was quite impressive and useful. Location can't be better. It's in the very centre of Madrid (Callao) two steps away from metro and the most touristic locations of the city. The only downside is the lack of attention to detail that you would expect when you pay a price this high. The shower door didn't close properly and we had to use towels to keep the floor dry. The bedside lamps were broken so they couldn't be adjusted in any other way than facing the wall. The minibar was stocked with the cheapest brands ever (we were charged 3€ for a can of knock-off Pringles that would've costed 0.10 in a supermarket). Despite these small things we still had a great stay and would totally recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in a very nice hotel close to the heart of Madrid.
  • Great location right in the heart of Madrid, very comfortable accommodation, great staff and facilities...
  • The PROS - The location of this hotel is unbelievable, it is like the Times Square of NYC. The live theaters are within a few 100 feet and there are many places to eat nearby. You are within a 5 min walk to just about anything you want to do. You are right out the door to any kind of public transportation. There are sevral late night places to eat, and if shopping is your thing you will be in heaven. There is some kind of sports casino place directly across the street (not my thing) and a movie theater right in the same building. The CONS - from the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was not friendly. At first, I thought it was just the first person, but as the days went by I noticed most of the staff was rude to me and others and one or two of them even seemed incompetent. There was one exception to this rudeness; her name was "Christina", she worked the overnight shift. Christina was pleasant and went out of her way to be helpful, to me and others. She speaks two fluent languages and is learning two others. (Maybe Christina should be training the others on customer service). I was returning at the end of the week and booked at a different hotel, because when I inquired about making a reservation the midday staff person acted as if I was a burden to her day. Overall, the cleanliness of the hotel was good. I did not eat or drink at their establishments so I cannot rate that area. With a better staff this would have been a 4 star rating.
  • An excellent location, and well-designed, but TURN OFF THE HEAT. In October, when it was rainy but not especially cold, they had the heat turned up to maximum, you'd get blasted with uncomfortably hot air when you walked in the lobby. "No problem, I'll just open the window in the room, right?" NO. The room we had (620) had a balcony, and therefore the door was sealed shut, with no other operable windows. We just about suffocated over 3 nights in a room that was over 85 F (30 C). Turning the thermostat down or "cold" switch on did nothing. Complaints to the front desk (twice) were ignored. Also, the free wifi was impossibly slow - about 0.1 mbps down, when it stayed connected at all. We didn't bother to "upgrade" to faster internet, as other reviewers said it was just as bad. The included breakfast was very good.
  • BED BUGS!!!!! The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The room looks nice enough but the toilet didn't flush right so there was a constant sewage smell that I complained about but they never tried to do anything. I should have left before that first night but I kept telling myself that the itching sensation was in my head. 3 days layer I'm covered in bed bug bites. So after almost 30 hours of traveling and layovers to get home I went straight to a laundry mat to wash all of my clothes so I hopefully won't bring any of the disgusting insects home with me. Very dissatisfied. If I ever return to Madrid I will stay far away from this place.
