  • I'm from sea port and truly the variety, quality and care with which all products are is wonderful to regain strength from the promenade nothing better than Dani tortilla skewer... PHENOMENAL!

  • Recommended by a magazine for authentic Madrid spirit, because it is not popular with tourists, we went exploring this market after a walk on Calle Serrano, shopping at a high level. Neat and tidy place, covered and with efficient services. We had lunch at Casa Dani, within the market which also offers set menus of 10 euro per person. It's a crowded restaurant, but coming to the 13.30 lunch quietly, whereas the lunch break of the Madrileños ranges from 14.30 onwards. Home-cooked food, meat and fish, not excellent but good. Also in the market there is also an Italian corner where you can taste dishes prepared and purchase a variety of Italian products. Definitely worth visiting!

  • HERMOSO. FRESCO. ALTA CALIDAD. Si quieres comprar alta calidad o frescura yo lo recomiendo. Pagarás más caro. Valdrá la pena.
  • The go-to place in Barrio Salamanca for all your fresh produce, seafood, meats, poultry, cheeses, wines, olives... you name it and you can probably find it there. It's central to the neighbourhood and clean and bright, with appealing displays of food - makes you want to buy everything you see!
  • Great menu of the day on Wednesday at Casa Dani; but be early 1pm or you will miss a table. Ten euros per head.
  • Only local crowed. We had the best Spanish omelet for breakfast in a very old place and it cost only 3.3€ with coffee
  • Fabulous market, full of locals. Several stalls that serve both tapas as well as heavier dishes. Great for those looking for a slice of everyday Madrid.
