  • The Arena is definitely the place «Must visit» in Madrid where you can feel Spain properly. I would advise to book tickets 2-3 weeks prior to performance. The best places are at 1, 2, 10, 9 sectors if...  more »
  • The Bullring las ventas is one of the largest bullfighting arenas. The Las the bullfighting Museum ventas tour visited one and learns many interesting things about this Spanish tradition. After they visited the arena and behind the scenes. An audio guide provides many exciting information about the bull fight (in German language). The entrance fee is EUR 8.9 (ERM. 6.9 EUR). Unfortunately may be not photographed at the Museum, what I felt was a real pity - photo BB´s may be made only in the arena and stables etc.

  • We went to a Novillada bullfight which features bullfighters that are younger (~23) and not as experienced. It was also about 98 deg F. Given these two factors the crowd was very small. My daughter and I enjoyed the bullfight and were glad we purchased the cushions before getting to our seats since they were concrete and would have been very uncomfortable. The structure, tradition and showmanship was enjoyable. The honor they gave to the bulls was something that impressed me. I wish I could have seen a bullfight with a famous bullfighter and a packed stadium.
  • Great time. Great atmosphere. Beautiful piece of culture.
  • steeped in history. worth visiting in the off hours for the bullring tour. bit of a cruel sport but if you're interested in a cultural experience then give it a go. fights last 2 hours with 3 fighters facing off against 6 bulls. sit in the sol y sombre (sum and shade) section for the best mix of budget and view 22e for row 8. don't buy from the stalls outside as they charge 20% commission for the tickets (well only buy from them if the section you want is sold out at the official ticket office).
  • A thrilling experience! More compelling than football or baseball. And in July, front row seats in the shade for less than 50€!
  • Small stadium we paid for the cheap tickets so we were exposed to the sun so that was pretty uncomfortable but we got to get really close and only paid 30 euro to see a bull fight. The seats are made of cement so it's hard and not so comfortable not to mention you legs practically hit the person in front of you it's very tight!! But the overall experience was great and being located in the city we didn't have to travel far to get there.
