Landmark · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Admire the grandiosity of Madrid’s Royal Palace from Plaza de Oriente. The plaza consists of three gardens, beautifully landscaped with dozens of plant varieties and lined with limestone statues of the 20 Gothic kings of the early Christian kingdom. Wander through the Baroque-inspired central gardens to see the monument of King Philip IV. Stop at one of the many garden cafes to sit and have coffee while enjoying the impressive backdrop of the palace and gardens.
