  • To get an idea of the size of this park, is about three times higher than the Retiro. Is phenomenal to go with children since it has many play areas, picnic areas, a viewpoint, a labyrinth, rail bike (30 kms), etc... You can even see rabbits and ducks (among other animals). Even planted trees are small and do not give much shade, so I recommend I go with CAP and water day hot (there are several sources spread throughout the Park). In short, a large park to spend the day with the kids, having exercise or nature watching.

  • Forest Park on the outskirts of Madrid ideal for exploring by bike or walking, has a central vantage point with excellent views of the area which has many species of vegetation

  • New Park, therefore with few trees that shade. So in summer better not go in more Sun hours. Ideal for a bike tour, but takes your water and something to chop if you wish. There are no shops in the area. Only a restaurant with terrace in front of the Park.

  • An absolute disgrace. I'm completely disgusted by the fact that such a large and beautiful park is completely and utterly wasted. No dogs off leads for a park paid for with my tax money. I want a refund!
  • Freaked me out! Like walking through a zombie apocalypse!
  • Great place for running
  • A lovely space to chill out or exercise.
  • Special open place, very adequate for outdoors sports, picnics and long walks

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
