  • A magnificent park in Madrid with great energy! There are a lot to see in there like the lake and the crystal palace! But it's working hours is 10:00 to 22:00 (Apr-Sept) and 10:00 to 18:00 in (Oct - Mar) If you go to Madrid, you should definitely visit this amazing park! I should confess that the nights of Madrid are more vibrant than most European cities. Even at 12 am, there are a lot of people on the streets who are cheerful, chatting and having fun energetically! So don't miss visiting this amazing park and for sure you can take amazing photos here! There is a nice lake inside the park as well.
  • One of our missions in Madrid was to find the Crystal Palace. It is located in El Retiro Park. We visited during winter time. Although well maintained, there were not a lot of flowers in bloom. The main entrance looked green an manicured. We saw 3 restaurants and close to the restaurants is a restroom. I am sure one can spend a lot of time in this park, but we were in a hurry and left after seeing the Crystal Palace Definitely an excellent spot to do your morning running, biking and strole with small children. One also does not hear any noises from the city.
  • This is a beautiful park that you could walk around for hours and hours. Our favorite place in the park was definitely the lake. There were a lot of people out in boats and it looked like a lot of fun. We walked around the lake and then went and saw some of the gardens and a glass building. Good spots to sit down and rest after all of the walking.
  • Very nice park. It's really big a makes it for an enjoyable half a day hike. One can also rent a little boat a row around the small lake which is kinda of cute! One can also rent carts with pedals for up to four people to go around the park which is also kinda of nice!
  • Lots of space and plenty of grass to sit back and relax. Plenty of trails to wonder around on and lots of shade and activities to do. Always busy - especially on weekends and is well maintained. They are actively renovating it to make it even better. Very pleased with this park and great to see such a large area in the middle of a city dedicated to citizens and tourists alike. Absolutely worth a stroll through the park while you're here.
