  • Recommended especially if the flea market is on (check dates to coincide as it's only once a month!)
  • This museum is must-see for lovers of the railway, for the location (in the old Delicias station), and exposed wagons and locomotives. For children there is a train which can be mounted. There is also a cafe car where the drink... But what I liked most is that the second Saturday of the month they celebrate inside a fair of food, drink, crafts and other interesting things. At the bottom of the station, outdoors, you can take a wine, beer, etc. And outside, to the right of the station there is a cachibaches market and a ship with music live. Highly recommended. We spent a wonderful day.

  • Today we visited the railway in Madrid Museum in family with children (7 and 9 years old). You can visit an exhibition of locomotives from the time of steam until the Talgo, passing through diesel-hydraulic and electrical. As for cars can access one of a Talgo train and a wagon cafe where you can drink (this is precious, type train Al-Andalus). The rest are exhibition but in some you can see inside from the outside. They also have three models (friends of the railroad) which put into operation every half an hour as an alternative. Not witnessing since theatre that is for younger children. A complete tour can take you two hours. Access by metro line 3 (mouth delights), the cost is €6 adults and 4 children; they have also reduced prices. I recommend buying a guide of the Museum than by €1,5 explains you the foregoing and is a good reminder of the visit. Visited on 31/10/16

  • I must see for any who loves trains. Not sure it will be Sheldon´s Cooper favorite but the best in Madrid... I love to have a coffe in the Restaurant Car
  • Overall great educative experience for the whole family. Children always appreciate a possibility to climb on the museum installations and explore them by hands, which is possible here. I felt time travelling in this place.
  • We spent a rainy morning of November checking out the locomotives, carriages, black and white pictures, plaques, uniforms, clocks,... lots to see and very attractively presented. It was somewhat thrilling to find the old carriages from the Bilbao to Santurce line which were were use until 1992. So many hours in there as a student... Personally the highlight of the collection was the 1922 fire brigade car.
  • You have to be interested in old locomotives and railway wagons to get a really good experience. In return, there are some really old and interesting materials. Of course, the visit ends in the cozy Restaurante wagon.
  • nice old train station that has market of special cool stuffs on weekends
