  • The Monumento de Victoria Eugenia is in the heart of the historical center of Madrid, on Calle Mayor. From the Cathedral, Santa Maria from is you walk in less than five minutes. The work shows a sad-looking Angel bronze who kneels on a simple base. The background of the monument is not known to us. We have in the past strolling a look out thrown and are then further.

  • This monument erected in honor of the memory of people who died after the attack on the Royal family fanatics 1906godu. Victims of terrorist-anarchist, who operated a bomb during the solemn procession began about 30 people. The Royal family is not affected. Sad story, expressed in this attraction.

  • This monument can be seen on the way from the Royal Palace to the Plaza Mayor to Mayor Street. Alfonso XIII-the grandfather of the current King Juan Carlos I chaired the Royal Spanish branch since its birth in 1886 year until the expulsion of the revolution in the year 1931. Then the title of King was abolished, but restored in 1975, the year when the grandson of Alfonso XIII ascended the throne again. In 1906, during the wedding of Alfonso XIII on him and wedding procession was attacked. Catalan anarchist threw the bomb, hidden in a bouquet of flowers, killing about 30 people and injured about 100 people. In memory of this event was a monument. But during the civil war, the monument was destroyed. The current monument is fairly modest.
