  • Typical market of supplies of all it life, has known mix them shops of all the life with them posts of food, algae, etc, but the essence of the market continue being them shops (productos Agrícolas, butchers, greengrocer, fishmonger) etc. You can not miss the passage Dore posts, that if that is typical and genuine.

  • Good discovery. Yesterday I ate an amazing dish of pasta with lobster sauce. I will continue researching.

  • A market that knows combine perfectly traditional and restoration jobs jobs. Special mention to The Original Globet Croquettes that has some special and homemade croquettes! And special, delicious wines! If you are in Madrid they do not disappoint, they are the best I've tried along with the of my grandmother. Also very good left happy! Thank you for everything!

  • Nice local market with a mixture of traditional stalls and hipster stuff. Some good places to eat too.
  • We went here after a quick pass through San Miguel, and while much smaller it was much more our style. Unfortunately it was a Sunday night so the actual market part was closed, but the food on the second level was consistently amazing - we sampled six or seven different dishes from different vendors - and the views we had of the market goods from above were promising. I don't usually go for sangria but we were told the rooftop bar had the best in the city, so we had to try and it did not disappoint. It's a great place to spend a hot summer night.
  • Ok places to eat, but is sort of deserted when not during peak times.
  • Make sure that you arrive with hunger, just like chinese dimsum, don't dwell in one place - choose the right snack with the right drink.
  • This is the real marke experience. For those, who want to know what a real Spanish martket is, and for those who miss the neighborhood markets, in danger of extinction. The market has recently gone through a facelift, too, and know you can find not only fresh fish, fruit and veggies, but also, counters where you can enjoy your saturdays' vermú and cañas, drink excellent wines, eat at a sushi counter or get some "fanzines" (alternative cultural publications). The place is part of life in Lavapiés, a part of the neighborhhod that has adapted wonderfully to the 21st century.
