Malasana, Madrid
(4.1/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Unleash your inner hipster in this creative countercultural neighborhood. Malasana was at the center of Madrid’s punkish Movida movement after Franco’s death in 1975, and today hosts some of the city’s best alternative venues for shopping and socializing. Browse the vintage shops, sip coffee in a bohemian cafe, pop into an art gallery, or dance in a lively bar. The Plaza Dos de Mayo is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by. Arrange your visit to Malasana and discover more family-friendly attractions in Madrid using our Madrid vacation planner.

  • I was strongly advised to go for a walk in Malasaña. This is indeed part Madrid my favorite so far! Looking for a small café or restaurant cute for ask you? You want to hunt around second-hand clothes in vintage shops? Want to see street art? It is here that you will find everything. Stroll, nose in the air not to miss. I loved this neighborhood and took some great photos.
