La Latina, Madrid

(4.4/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web)
With one of the best collections of tapas bars, it's no wonder La Latina neighborhood vibrates with activity. Reach these tasty spots by exiting the metro and heading down Calle de Toledo and Calle de la Colegiata. On your short walk from the station, you'll see churches in the romantic Gothic style that is a hallmark of the city. After all, this neighborhood is one of the oldest in Madrid. Take your time in the narrow, winding streets that have always been the hub of the city's social life. Plan to see La Latina and other attractions that appeal to you using our Madrid vacation route planner.

  • La Latina is a very nice area located to the south of the city centre. Especially on Sundays this district is very popular with the locals. There are lots of bars and lovely alleys.  more »
  • A few years ago was a pleasure go gray around the area, staying to eat tapas and bind with a drink until very late at night. Now there are too many people and not a step can be. Of the carry car forget because even in a parking lot you'll find site. It is bad in places that are fashionable; great for business, but not so much for the users.
