With one of the best collections of tapas bars, it's no wonder La Latina neighborhood vibrates with activity. Reach these tasty spots by exiting the metro and heading down Calle de Toledo and Calle de la Colegiata. On your short walk from the station, you'll see churches in the romantic Gothic style that is a hallmark of the city. After all, this neighborhood is one of the oldest in Madrid. Take your time in the narrow, winding streets that have always been the hub of the city's social life. • It is always a pleasure to return to the area where I was born, but it is even more pleasant surprise when you see the transformation that turns into bars, taverns and other restaurants

  • I love the area, all of it, but I like muchisimno Sundays visit fair trail in this area, the street ambassadors and tanners. There is something very sui generis.
