If you're not with booking for dinner, forget about that view to the Palace, you send to the back room where you can ask a bleeding for €6 worthy of study: half a cup of ice, half a glass of juice of fruits the Mercadona and a finger of wine € 2 (tested). The worst bleeding of my life, I've left me whole.

Next to the Royal Palace, is this lovely secret garden, which serves as a "green oasis" in the middle of the tourist bustle of Madrid. The Sabatini gardens, besides being a haven of peace and tranquility and serve for a little stop in the middle of the tourist route, offers an extraordinary side postcard of the Royal Palace. It is the perfect stop for tourists who come from Opera and Plaza de Oriente, before proceeding to the Temple of Debod and Plaza of Spain (both 5-10 min walk). I advise to visit these gardens a little before sunset (so there will be shadow and you will enjoy more than rest in their gardens and fountains) and go to the Egyptian monument (Temple of Debod) right at the magic hour of sunset, time in which the sunset combines perfectly with the fountain and stone structures Egyptian to achieve an overview / beautiful photo.

This is a perfect spot to take a book and read/enjoy the view for a while. There are fountains and benches all over, and you get a spectacular view of the Royal Palace from almost all spots of the gar...  more »

  • Nice gardens, but why do attractive women think they can wander within the roped off areas. Throw a few in jail for the night. Monitor transgressions.
  • Cute little gardens with a great view of the Palacio Real in Madrid. Usually a couple gentlemen playing some instruments giving it a real European vibe. Perfect to walk around in and get a good view of the massive Royal Palace, and a great spot for a picnic or to just soak up the sun for a while.
  • Absolutely beautiful place on earth. Such a romantic spot to take someone. Can be enjoyed in the day and night.
  • You can visit the garden on the north side of the royal palace without paying admission to the palace. The sunsets from the street above are amazing.
  • A small, tranquil garden with an excellent view of the Palacio Real. Perfect for a quick ten-minute stroll and some palace photos.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
