  • The larger than life statue of Pope John Paul II., is in the western part of the Centre of Madrid next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria. The work depicts the popular Pope on a pedestal made of light granite standing, arms spread forward. The bronze sculpture is extremely lifelike and attention to detail. The work we liked.

  • The Pope consecrated the Cathedral of Santa María la real de la Almudena in 1993 year. In memory of this event, and in gratitude for his services to the Catholic world he erected a monument in front of the Cathedral. Perhaps the Pope around the world found the largest number of monuments, especially in Poland.

  • Monument to Pope Paul Ionnu 2. For me this is probably the only dad, which I remember well from the history of his life. He was in power for a long time, until I grew up and went to school and University. Many scandals was associated in his reign. Therefore, if the mind comes up with something about the Catholic Church, it immediately pops up the Vatican, John Paul 2 and the Inquisition. By the way, he consecrated the Almudena Cathedral in the year 1193. Monument done skillfully, if would have stood down, you would have thought that the Pope comes as live along and floors of his clothes developed in the wind.
