  • Príncipe Pío station has gone from being one of the most outstanding of the capital to be in a flat second franc is used by commuter trains and the metro. A part is in perfect condition as it has been rehabilitated as Mall and the other is abandoned (is perfectly usable as a setting for a mystery or horror film)

  • A modern shopping complex housed within a nice building. A good mix of shops large and small on two levels with plenty of places to get something to eat. A good shopping & eating experience.
  • Nice shopping mall to hang out and spend time with friends. It's very easy to get there, you've many options of public transportation and also a parking place
  • This is a mall with many great places to shop. We went here regularly when we lived in Madrid. It is attached to the metro system, so it is easy to stop by.
  • Curious place. It's connected to an old.train station - now a quite important transport hub - and is rather big. Has a fun leisure section with cinemas, bars, restaurants.
  • Situated close to royal place. Nice modern shopping complex. More locals then tourist. Good number of eating outlets too.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
