It has not much to see. But if we think that it is the only Castle preserved in the city of Madrid. You always have to know new places. And so know better our city.

The castle of the 15th century and later rural Renaissance palace, excavated and reconstructed partially from the archaeological campaigns since 1996. Found remains which do not exhibit by budgetary constraints. Guided tour explains very well the history of this castle, its owners and the evolution of the way of life in the building until its abandonment and looting. Schedules of visits, individual (weekends and holidays) and group (Friday) are limited, so you have to report on the website of the city of Madrid. I recommend the visit and buy the little book on the castle which sold at the entrance (1 euro); too bad its typography, small and little readable.

A happy, very well preserved Castle despite its age. Better go with single friends and go better in own car.

  • Great place to visit!
  • A perfect plan for a Sunday, the ride is short but nice. The best thing is free. It's not very big but it has its charm... 100% recommend it exceeded my expectations... the staff that works is very attentive and helpful. The clean bathrooms. In summary I liked.

  • Very nice place that did not know in Alameda de Osuna, the Town Hall, very attentive and friendly staff. A castle with lots of history at its campus has an authentic Civil War bunker

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
