  • I wanted to see models of different colors of the same type of Lady sandal. The clerk who took care of me began repairs to take only three or four models of different colors. I had to show me a little persuasive and remember the Lord that my great-grandfather was founder and owner of a prestigious business of fabrics and cloths in the main street area so that it finally entered into reason (dependent was significantly larger and surely knew the business of my great-grandfather). They sell many genre and my impression is that they want to quickly dispatch to potential buyers. After this start misunderstood the rest of purchase satisfactorily progress still possible even to make the exchange of the article without having to submit the receipt when necessary

  • The tiny store is right off the Plaza Mayor and stuffed full of espadrilles. The prices are good and by the time you actually make it inside (we stood in line for 40 minutes, yes, to buy shoes), the s...  more »
  • Intrigued by the huge row out of this store, we stopped to watch and we saw selling espadrilles. This shoe, also called alpargatas, is a canvas or hemp, spelt soles in natural colors, and hand made (if they are still made by hand). its origin seems to be in French, but also is used in Piereni Spain (particularly Catalonia) and in different areas of Latin America. Although originally a flat shoe, there are also high today. In this shop you will find espadrilles for everyone If this review did you like, you can read my other reviews of Madrid (and others) and I'm glad a click on: is it useful? Thanks:)

  • Lovely little shop with an excellent selection of Espadrilles. Expect to queue with locals and tourists for quite some time and a packed shop. Prices are very reasonable, which probably adds to its popularity.
  • Great shoes, so ridiculously comfy and affordable! Definitely worth checking out on your visit! Just check the hours before because they are weird
  • Thee place to shop for the best espadrille in Madrid!! Great bargains & quality!!!
  • Wonderful old world store for espadrilles with none of the normal displays you expect from a retailer but a single service counter running the length of the store. A huge range of styles and colours available, and a number of wicker items also on sale. Popular with locals, but beware the queues of tourists!
  • Good prices on shoes. We arrived 5 minutes before closing and they let us stay until we were done shopping. I wish there was more of a variety.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
