  • Us for organisational reasons could not access the visit inside and had to settle for contemplate the spectacular building by the outside. Located opposite the Town Hall and the Plaza de Cibeles.

  • The Palacio de Linares, today casa de América, surprised by the richness of constructive, decorative materials and the beauty of the building. Well restored, you can get an idea of what it meant in his time. I didn't see no ghost, nor any psicofonia oi. Although I believe that the legend is due to miss that guided us visit. In my life I have seen less enthusiasm and more reluctance. I believe that if there is someone with no life is she.

  • The visit is OK although the Guide does not explain too, and has audiovisual that explain you a little history of the building. The building is very nice and worth that!

  • A beautiful former palace(apparently haunted),where one can enjoy many cultural offerings from Latin America including expositions and film screenings. In general the activities are not free, their website has all the info.
  • t is by Cibeles is the most beautiful fountain of Madrid (there are a lot of them, basically at each roundabout). The supporters of Real Madrid gather here to celebrate their victories (lately they haven't had much to celebrate). It is also closed when there is a celebration so you can leave your bathing suit at home. :)
  • Mucha actividad cultural
  • This Cultural and Business Centre for the Americas has an extensive programme of events, presentations, cinema.... It is housed in the impressive Palacio de Linares, one of the few palaces still standing on the Castellana and it had to be saved from demolition ! See Palacio de Linares for details of guided tours. TIP: If you go to the cinema here, make sure it's paid entry. We made a mistake the other night and went to a free one. Never again ! It's the Ryanair psychosis of queuing. Tickets are available from 6pm for a performance at 7pm. Everyone comes early for tickets and then has to hang around. There's a waiting list /(once they've run out) for tickets set aside for the 'elite' (enchufados). We did get in but couldn't sit together. Neither an efficient nor democratic ticketing system.
  • Essential visit to a legendary setting.
