  • The visit is OK although the Guide does not explain too, and has audiovisual that explain you a little history of the building. The building is very nice and worth that!

  • Before nothing say that the House America and the Palace of Linares are the same site. Having said that, the Palace is a marvel. Each room dazzles and makes open the mouth rather than the former. Is a beauty room by room. The only bad thing is the Guide. Little, explained in a low voice, and leaves almost no admire everything. Too fast. Perhaps was only that we touched, but should improve this aspect. Except for that, deserves much worth paying the entrance fee to view it.

  • We made a theatrical visit and we liked. In addition to viewing the House we spoke of the Marquis and the famous ghost story. With surprise ending. And it was cheap.

  • This Cultural and Business Centre for the Americas has an extensive programme of events, presentations, cinema.... It is housed in the impressive Palacio de Linares, one of the few palaces still standing on the Castellana and it had to be saved from demolition ! See Palacio de Linares for details of guided tours. TIP: If you go to the cinema here, make sure it's paid entry. We made a mistake the other night and went to a free one. Never again ! It's the Ryanair psychosis of queuing. Tickets are available from 6pm for a performance at 7pm. Everyone comes early for tickets and then has to hang around. There's a waiting list /(once they've run out) for tickets set aside for the 'elite' (enchufados). We did get in but couldn't sit together. Neither an efficient nor democratic ticketing system.
  • t is by Cibeles is the most beautiful fountain of Madrid (there are a lot of them, basically at each roundabout). The supporters of Real Madrid gather here to celebrate their victories (lately they haven't had much to celebrate). It is also closed when there is a celebration so you can leave your bathing suit at home. :)
  • A beautiful former palace(apparently haunted),where one can enjoy many cultural offerings from Latin America including expositions and film screenings. In general the activities are not free, their website has all the info.
  • Beautiful building historical of the center of Madrid.

  • The terrace of this beautiful mansion next to Cibeles is a luxurious but affordable green oasis where you can enjoy a rich homemade croquettes with a good wine. And if the terrace is closed (open at 11 am), test in the indoor Café.
