  • The Calle de Alcala is one of the main roads of Madrid. You runs over a length of more than ten kilometers from the East to the West through the city. Touristically interesting is the area between the Retiro Park and Plaza Puerta del Sol. On this section of the road, the Walker takes a variety of monuments and landmarks of any kind. Many Cafés and restaurants lined the side of the road. Bottom line: A walk with its rich culture. Worthwhile.

  • The Alcalá Street (in Spanish, Calle de Alcalá), is a major artery of the city of Madrid, the Street extends 10.2 kilometres long between the Puerta del Sol and the access road to the station O'Donnell. The headquarters of the Bank of Spain is a large building which the north façade stretches along the street up to the place of Cybele. The longest Street in the city. In its initial phase of the street connects several of the most emblematic of Madrid, such as the Puerta del Sol, the Metropolis, the casino, the Plaza de Independencia, which is the Puerta de Alcalá and Cibeles Plaza with its famous fountain of the goddess.
