La Caja Mágica, also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center, is a sports structure located at the Park Manzanares, used for the Madrid Masters tournament in Madrid, Spain. Madrid’s Olympic Tennis Centre, designed by leading French architect Dominique Perrault, was inaugurated in 2009.There are three courts under the one structure, and a series of retractable roofs. The main stadium has a seating capacity of 12,442. There are two smaller courts in the structure, with Court 1 able to hold 3,500 people, and Court 2 to hold 2,500 people. The seating capacity of Courts 1 and 2 would have been increased if Madrid's bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics had been successful.Other sports and eventsIn the 2010–11 season, it was the home stadium for the Real Madrid basketball team. In January 2013, it was the Madrid venue for the 2013 World Men's Handball Championship. It can also be used for concerts and shows. It was the venue for the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards held on November 7 of that year.ArchitectureThe “Caja Mágica” concept encloses sports and multi-functional buildings but opens up and shapes itself to the various uses projecting a changing and lively silhouette in the cityscape. Its mobile and vibrant skin filters the sunlight, serves as a windbreak and shelters the sports halls in a lightweight shell.

  • Space of pleasant entertainment that is conditioned for events. It is made with taste. The staff is friendly. In summer, recommended going to events sports and eat, take a Cup...

  • I, as a fan of tennis with pleasure visited the stadium. Immediately evident that Spain tennis-it's a business. A large number of courts, large rostrum, convenient access and a place where you can eat well

  • We visited for two days of the Mutua Madrid Open. Seating was excellent, the tickets were exceedingly reasonable. We saw a lot of great tennis -- on the main courts as well as on the side courts.

  • one of the best expiences in madrid, was their to watch the 1st round of the madrid open, the tournament was very good organized, had to wait in line because the system went down, after 3 hours of wait (met new people and chated with some locals) we entered the arena, the matches were amazing, the food inside is good but a bit overprices (that's normal for this kind of events)
  • The place is beautiful, but the access to it is terrible using public transportation. Very few events are held here. The surrounding areas to the west are not known for being the safest, so avoid going back to the city centre on foot.
  • Played bubble football there with a group of friends. Highly recommended
  • Good gym.... lot of classes and very good facilities
  • This is where the Madrid open is played, so great tennis courts
