  • The plaza de Las Ventas you can visit with a tour of payment, but the Museum which is located in the square is free. Bullfighting lovers will be delighted because the story of great bullfighters, such as Manolete and exposed all kinds of utensils, costumes, paintings, photographs... In addition, there is an area with an audiovisual and those who go with the tour carry audioguide and they can go listen to information. Those without audioguide can read informative posters that underneath each object. I was shortly because I don't like the subject matter, but if the video looks and reads everything with calm, you can be more than one hour. It is next to the metro Las Ventas station.

  • For me a great bullfighting Museum. Pity not to leave make no photography, although it's no flash as I remember the bullfighting Museum of Seville!. Very well arranged space for placement of the pieces on display. Lots of posters, sculptures, heads of bulls, suits of lights and fixtures used in the world of bullfighting. Highlight the area dedicated to Manolete: with a spectacular bust of the master, a precious oil, with the matador dress lights and a large display with everything what had put the "monstuo of bullfighting", the tragic evening of Linares. Free entry. A must for all lovers of the world of bulls.

  • I didn't have time to visit inside:(but this huge building is beautiful from the outside and with a strong image of the Spanish symbol. I want to come back to visit this building inside.

  • Cool free experience on the literal art of bull fighting. Their is a room that shows Bull Fighting on a TV that goes on repeat which is interesting.
  • This is a really interesting museum and with the audio guides it teaches you a lot about bullfighting and the tradition surrounding it. We were however disappointed by the extortionate price of the photos they tried to sell us, note already printed and in a nice card. We really loved the photos but were not prepared to pay so much...then to realise they'd be thrown away anyway seemed ridiculous and a waste. If they were sold for cheaper, more people would buy them.
  • Its gives lot of information bull fighting and traditional information regarding it.
  • Cruel historic place. But a fascinating arhitecture. Beautiful building!
  • Interesting arena with live bull fights. Note: Skip this place if you abhor or can't stomach gore and violence.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
