Barrio de Salamanca, Madrid
(4.3/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
One of Madrid's most elite neighborhoods, Barrio de Salamanca also delivers some of the city's best high-end shopping. To see what the designer stores and boutiques have on offer, head to Ortega y Gassett street. As home to the city's wealthiest denizens for a few centuries now, the barrio also serves up plenty of eye-catching architecture. Keep an eye out for the Arab House, the Ventas Bullring, and various early 20th-century palace houses. • The barrio is the expression of shops of famous brands but also beautiful palaces, a walk is pleasant to visit some shops, very large, with multiple sellers.

  • With its perfectly drawn streets (but a horror for circular), the main arteries (Serrano, Velázquez...) have the best Boutiques. Shopping at the most high level (Glam). For walking, the best is the Plaza de Colón (with their cultural center and super flag), the National Library (open to visitors). Lots of good restaurants like La Trainera, Alkalde, etc. Elegant cafes, bars. Here one does not get bored (and if you have good pocket, better).

  • Beautiful neighbourhood, very high economic level, but that it is very interesting to visit, mainly to observe (shops prices are prohibitive for an economy say normal). Is very nice of visit because the buildings are precious, with some beautiful entries and courtyards Interior. Find the big brands, exclusive, in some local spectacular. And if you it can allow, restaurants of prestige. It is also the area of embassies of foreign countries. The streets are spacious and well maintained... in short, highly recommended
