#2 of 11 in Neighborhoods in Madrid
One of Madrid's most elite neighborhoods, Barrio de Salamanca also delivers some of the city's best high-end shopping. To see what the designer stores and boutiques have on offer, head to Ortega y Gassett street. As home to the city's wealthiest denizens for a few centuries now, the barrio also serves up plenty of eye-catching architecture. • The District of Salamanca is the most expensive area of Madrid and also the most exclusive. In her live aristocrats, businessmen and other notable figures from the capital. It is a residential area with places to eat and drink, all expensive obviously. But mostly noted for its commercial offer. The streets are all the most prestigious luxury brands in the world.

  • He is one of the best neighborhoods of Madrid, very quiet and shops to high purchasing power, and luxury housing commercially very well if you're going with money, fancy restaurants and luxury shops. Moreover it has many tourist attractions although architecturally it has very beautiful and care buildings.

  • It is reputed to be the most elegant and rich in Madrid but the streets were super dirty more not being able, until a mattress between so much dirt. The prosperous carelessness among the residents who leave their dogs to make everything in the streets and leave him there the following .all gift was fatal, seemed to take me back to the 12th century where people pulling the urine out of the window, not washing it and it arranged all based pour gallons of perfume over. The staff in the shops and restaurants very edge and rude, no doubt deranged treat both gañan with airs of grandeur and corrala education of pacheca it... Before such in civic-mindedness and lack of empathy, the City Council has found a gold mine and they have encamped in the area a detachment with wide endowment, putting fines to cars parked illegally right and left.

Where to stay in Madrid

The Spanish capital is known for its array of distinct neighborhoods each with its own appeal. An affordable and easy-to-navigate metro system, which makes it is easy to get around Madrid gives you more flexibility in choosing where to stay. Perhaps the most popular choice is Puerta del Sol, the heart of the city center and one of the main tourist attractions with its numerous shops, affordable hotels, and restaurants. Close by is Gran Via street, one of the city's main arteries, which is also home to a number of hotels. A short walk from here is Plaza España where the city's most iconic landmarks lie, including the Royal Palace and the Teatro Royal. For somthing outside the traditional tourist areas, consider staying in La Latina or Malasaña, two bohemian neighborhoods that offer a wide range of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and lively bars.
