Los Cristianos Harbour, Los Cristianos
Categories: Bodies of Water, Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
A resort town known for its two black volcanic-sand beaches, Los Cristianos Harbour was once a quiet fishing village. The remnants of the fishing community still make up a large part of the port, where you'll see humble and welcoming buildings located near a row of small, anchored boats. Besides the beaches, the other big draw is the town’s wide variety of bars, restaurants, and budget accommodations, all open year-round thanks to the continual fine weather. A surprisingly pleasant place.... only spoilt by what looks like a hippy encampment in a derelict building right on the beach... bit worrying... does the local authority plan to demolish?
