  • Legacy of the last representative of the Guevara family to the town of Lorca in 1996, this Palace comes to benefit from a restoration in order to accommodate a museum dedicated to the history of the city and of the region of Murcia, through civil and palatial architecture. Exhibitions and cultural events held there also since its reopening after work following the damage caused by the trembelement of 2011. Outside: baroque façade richly carved with four column and above the door arms order of Saint James that belonged to the Knight don Juan Alcaraz Garcia Guevara. Inside: furniture and pavement in ceramics of the 18th century; reconstruction of several pieces, including of the Ballroom (salon amarillo); Chapel with a representation of the Virgin (School of Granada) and a few wall paintings of the mid-20th century; Portuguese style room; patio to the white marble columns decorated with motifsvegetaux, children's heads, of ECU. The major point of interest of the Museum, off its remarkable architecture, is the collection of paintings, among which are notable: the large portrait of don Juan Guevara, paintings by Pedro Camacho Felizes, a Virgin of the famous Madrid painter José Antolinez, a Virgin of the Italian master Giambattista Salvi said "he Sassoferrato", as well as a beautiful series of portraits by the artist Madrazo. Guided tours. Not to be missed under any circumstances. Ranked well of Cultural interest since November 21, 2008. The historic centre of Lorca was declared Conjunto Historico - Artistico Nacional since 1964.

  • Place of visit: Palacio Guevara date of visit: 20/05/2017 the façade or entrance to the Palace is superbly carved and is impressive. In terms of its interior, of which we could only visit the courtyard, they have nothing special.

  • Wonderful
  • Currently undergoing renovation
  • It is a palace that worth watching, for its conservation and its history, the downside is that you can only visit the arcaded courtyard. Inside, the rooms, which is the most beautiful thing is in reconstruction. When it opens to the public is certainly a must stop if you visit Lorca

  • A wonderful sample of the best Baroque heart of Lorca. Essential also its nice garden

  • It is a building of the most emblematic of Lorca, in a Baroque style. Its construction dates from the end of the 17TH century and early 18th. And it is simply beautiful.
