  • You can park up if you are driving, near the railway station (€1.45 for about 3 hours). Start walking around the little streets, stop for coffee or cocktails just about anywhere. The shops are quite.....  more »
  • Always pleasant to visit a town square. This is one of the many nice ones in Spain. Pleasant architecture.  more »
  • Although small as plazas go, you can see some interesting places here including the main church of Lorca, the town hall and several other buildings of note. Check opening times before you go though.  more »

  • You may be surprised to this office in Lorca to know that floor managers took money from people who are not apartment dwellers and searched them for the Treasury. They usually take 200-250 euros from non-occupants and register them and, as a result, leave the royal occupants. unregistered. For my part, it is an example of this, I have lived in a property in Lorca for 9 months. I pay rent and utilities, but as required by Spanish law, the floor manager is supposed to register me, but it has been denied. Also, because tenants do not have a certificate of registration in the apartments they live in, especially undocumented immigrants. These so-called floor managers who are mostly black Africans expel them strongly even if they have not bleached any of the agreements. I'm new to Spain and that's what Lorca is for. That said, I don't know if this office is the right institution to channel this complaint, but I hope the Lorca authorities can take it from here and investigate the issue ... Thank you

  • Forming part of the magnificent monumental ensemble of the Plaza de España, is the city Council, built in the second half of the 17TH century with the purpose of hosting the Royal Prison. At the beginning of the EIGHTEENTH century, the building was refurbished and expanded, in order to make it the city Council. The Work of the master stonemason Alfonso Ortiz de la Jara, rises in two floors, presenting in the main façade two galleries overlapping with half-point arches resting on thin marble columns. Among them stands the Great Central Arch that gives access to the current Selgas Street, on which there is another similar arch crowned by a decorated curved pediment. In The interior are the Plenary Hall and the Chapel of the Council, which has an Immaculate attributed to Pedro de Mena, as well as an interesting collection of contemporary paintings. As An official building, the tourist visit is not permitted; However we can try our luck during the hours of attention to the public.
