  • Hello, we have visited Costanaza mine this weekend road to Guadalupe. I have to say that the first part, the girl who teaches the mine is charming and travel although it seemed short is made enjoyable, you can feel how they lived the miners from the beginning of the 20th century. Ideal for children also. But the second part, another girl who teaches you the Museum seemed a soporific. Not to teach the Museum as if it were a class of University of 3rd. We must be more enjoyable and summarize much more because but the boredom is total, I could not stand or ten minutes, and looks to me like the theme. Summarizing recommended visit, beside there is a bar where we ate at a great price. Preferred.

  • Guadalupe road from Trujillo by the EX-102 we find a signpost "Costanaza mine" (which then learned that you part of the Geopark Villuercas Jara Ibores). We saw that it was closed to the public. They have an interpretation centre, run to perfection by a guide that accompanies us throughout our tour, where they explain the origin of the mine and its operation over time, a museum with maps and documents, fossils and minerals and "Star", visit to the mine. We went down to the first galleries and see the veins of ore and they explain all the work of the miners. We ended up with little mining train ride. Excellent

  • Yes, it is one mini. € 5 entry, 12 people groups. Duration of 2 hours. The guide takes care of almost everything. I start by the end, the visit to the mine is almost fictional, you fall into a pit about 6 meters and is about 150 meters to the horizontal exit. The rest is blinded and we could see the excavation and only one edge of the lode of ore that is phosphate. The end is a walk of about 50m on a trenecillo to come out of the tunnel. The first thing to do is listen on foot for an hour of Ms. Guide on the history of the formation of the rocks and mountains of the Earth in the environment of a mini Museum with several signs that serve as support for talk talk. I recognize that it is interesting for someone started because the terms used and the theories of plate tectonics and formation of the different types of rocks is not easy and it is impossible to understand it in an hour for a person not started (which is the more common). In addition, there are quite a few children who obviously do not enter into the understanding of the explanation. I have to emphasize that the interest and effort and enthusiasm that makes the guide is maximum but largely sterile. Next visit to the laboratory. Painful, the greatest interest is see the original soil is preserved. There are 5 weights on balance, some tubes of essay, pipettes and several vials ore with sulfuric acid. Then you have to see a video of an old miner for a few minutes where he explains something about life and work when the mine was in operation. It's over.
