Work began in 1513 and not ended to the 17th, with the elevation of the façade in sort of adorned with two sculptures of the Holy dedicatee triumphal arch, the Apostle James major, one the appearing as a pilgrim, the other, above, in Matamoros. Inside: sumptuous altarpiece (1600-1630) representing scenes from the life of St. James: St. James announces the Gospel to the King Agrippa; St. James before the supreme Council; Marie Salome, mother of St James; Hermogenes and Philetus, Conversion of Hermogenes;

  • Cost: by donation. We were greeted by a really friendly man who explained the rules and services. The room had 18 beds which were decently comfortable. There was a family style supper where everyone sang a hymn together, mass, and an evening prayer and blessing for the peregrinos.
  • It is pretty. As a curiosity for those who are fans of the topic, in this church have a panel counting the relationship of Escrivá de Balaguer, who lived a good season a few meters.

  • Splendid church. Inside, the patron saint of the city is revered: La Virgen de la Esperanza. Mass at 8 and a half in the morning. The source of the Pilgrim can be found abroad. This temple is "obligatory for pilgrims travelling through Logroño, a route of Santiago de Compostela.

  • Impressive church above all by its large interior space. It contains the Gothic image of the Virgen de la Esperanza, an interesting Baroque altarpiece dedicated to St. James the Apostle and Patron Saint of Logroño.
