  • The ancient town of Liria, which is part of the Valencian Community, is located 30 km north-west of Valencia. To get here by public transport is not simple, but very simple: from Valencia subway line was laid, Liria-end station, journey time 1:00 The purpose of our trip was the monastery of San Miguel (St. Michael), which is located on the outskirts of the city, on top of a hill called Monte de San Miguel. From the city centre to the monastery leads a wide asphalt road, climb a short but fairly steep. Around-not a soul, and views of the rasstilajushhiesja at the bottom of the Valley and surrounding hills are just gorgeous. The monastery was originally founded in 1319 by King Xajme II of Aragon, and then converted by Martin I in the year 1406. The monastery is a complex of buildings built around the Church. These buildings belong to the XVIII, XIX and XX centuries. Available for inspection only monastic Church. Modern church building built with 1756 to 1774 year.   • Worth to be visited, who treats you is very friendly staff made explanations about its history. The Church is small, but the shrine of San Miguel is spectacular, retaining their original paintings of shrimp. Spectacular views. It is worth visiting it.
